As you can see, we have adopted our own little Elf on the Shelf this year. The kids – mostly Nate – named him Frisbee. Frisbee has played a few jokes on us lately, including painting all of our noses red with red face paint. As you can see, he was caught in the act. He was found sitting in the chandelier in our dining room holding a paint brush with red paint on it. Today, he was found sitting in the book case in the living room holding a chocolate chip cookie that had a big bite taken out of it. Nate loves it – Gabby enjoys it too and she will talk to Frisbee. She’ll sit on a chair and look at him and tell him stories in a language that she understands and which she is convinced that he understands. Nate is excited to see him when he first wakes up, but then “ignores him.”
I’m quickly running out ideas for the Elf though…what fun things do you have your Elf do?

Fun idea. I never really got into this tradition. Maybe I’m too lazy and it seems like it takes a lot of work. But I love the Elf on the Shelf ideas people come up with. I saw something on Pinterest about an Elf doing snow angels in some flour.
