The flu shot gave me a ton of problems this year. Not only did I actually get a very mild form of the flu but my arm blew up and got all red. I got put on antibiotics for that. Then it got worse so I ended up in the ER for two hours yesterday being evaluated for IV antibiotics and an allergic reaction. The good news is that I didn’t need an IV and it wasn’t an allergic reaction. According to the doctor that evaluated me at the ER, the reaction was normal and the Bactrim should take care of any infection. I kind of felt like a piece of meat – all the nurses and intake people kept coming in to look at my arm and were like “Whoa, that’s a pretty bad reaction.” It was like I was at the zoo or something. Whatever.
I know that I haven’t been around much but it’s been because I’ve been dealing with the flu symptoms and work. I pretty much work, sleep and take care of Nate, at least for this past week. I haven’t done much else for fun. But hopefully that will change today. I think we’re going to the Highland Games today. Not sure about that yet because I have a lot to do around the house today to catch up and then I need to work tomorrow to catch up.
