This week’s question was suggested by Prairie Progressive:
Do you read the inside flaps that describe a book before or while reading it?
It depends. If I’m browsing, with no plans or if I’ve seen the book but haven’t decided yet, then I will read the flaps. It does help and can sway me one way or the other. I still take it with a grain of salt because, after all, they are spinning the story a certain way. They want to sell books after all.
I really like author interviews and reading guides too because they provide me fodder for my personal, written journal.
On another note, I wrote a review of Robert Downey, Jr.’s first album. It’s here.
