…are truly like sponges. The other day, Gabby got up and was sitting, seemingly happily playing in her crib and singing to herself (she literally sings “happy Gabby” over and over again). Then Izzy went in to pick her up because we were ready to get her out of the crib. And she said what sounded like “juice” so we attempted to clarify – and we asked her “do you want a drink” and she made the sign for drink and, once she got it, was completely happy to cuddle in bed for another half hour. It’s amazing – we haven’t used the word for drink with her in a while but she totally remembered it. It amazes me how much their brains absorb…and retain.
